Xmas Greetings: Nobody Would Come From Space to Solve Our Problems – David Mark

Nobody Would Come From Space to Solve Our Problems – David Mark
Senate President David Mark has warned the political class against sacrificing national interest on the altar of individual or group ambitions so as not to set the country ablaze.
He made this call in his goodwill message to Nigerians to mark this year’s Christmas, in which he charged all to make peace and religious harmony the cornerstone of their relationship with one another.
David Mark specifically called on the political class to lead the path of peace, law and order in the country, noting that politics should be a game and not a battlefield.

The Christmas message of Senate President was contained in a statement by Mr. Paul Mumeh, the Chief Press Secretary:
“We have come a long way as a people. We should see ourselves as one people and one nation with a common destiny. We cannot be moving in the reverse order when other nations are going to the moon.
“We have always admitted that the challenges are enormous but we must realise that nobody would come from the space to solve our problems for us. We should therefore be able to find home grown solutions to our challenges in a manner that would comfort and indeed satisfy all sections.
“It is therefore incumbent on all of us to act and behave in a responsible manner that would give trust and confidence to the people”.
David Mark further urged religious leaders to pray for the nation and its leaders continuously, as the prevailing situation in the country called for wise counsel and divine intervention.
